  1. Read the clue. Start with the five letters shown.
  2. Type a four-letter answer, or tap four tiles in answer order. You can rearrange them.
  3. Check your answer. The unused letter joins your offcuts.
  4. Solve all four clues. Read your collected letters in clue order to reveal the final word.

For example: PLATE can become LATE for “Behind schedule.” Keep the P.
